@Sariel
Ok then i dont have any problems with a fronsuspension anymore. Tanks
@Manne
It will work on 4×4 vehicle as well as on 10×10, any type you want.
@Sariel
Yes like there but with a 4×4 vehicle. Does it work in a 4×4 or has it to little steering?
@Manne
You mean like here: http://sariel.pl/2009/09/alvis-stalwart/ ?
I was just wondering if the suspensionparts from the 8297 can be used as trtr frontsuspension? Cuz I tink it has to litte steering or?
@Manne
13.75:1 scale and asymmetrical pendular suspension.
Hi!
How are you planned to build the hummer h1? What scale and what suspension?
@legobuilder
It’s possible in dozens of ways, there’s even my own design on this very website, but I think this one is the best: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=399284
Us it possible to make an automatic gearbox that changes gears by a high torque?
@Manne
My monster truck is going to be a bit like this.
Sorry it became a little weird there. It´s two pictures.
Cant you build a rockcrawler http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.axialracing.com/ftp/Press-Releases/04-07/AX10_files/AX90001-7.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.myrcblog.com/2007_12_01_archive.html&usg=__BNWUDbyhZe7e1y1fzxECf0duAxc=&h=1200&w=1600&sz=2045&hl=sv&start=17&um=1&tbnid=_ImhHDtNUWI2uM:&tbnh=113&tbnw=150&prev=/images%3Fq%3Drock%2Bcrawler%26hl%3Dsv%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:sv:IE-SearchBox%26rlz%3D1I7SKPB_sv%26sa%3DN%26um%3D1

or
Looking forward to seeing the excavator being finished this motnh 😀 .. I had dreamed of building something similar once 🙂
you should try building some SUVs.. thay are like a mixture between sportness and off-roading, as I see, that fits your taste.
@Diego
The poll is closed now, thank you. I’ll publish some roundup soon.
what do I have to do to vote?
I would like to see a corvette, but all of the cars are beautiful anyway.
you are really doing a good job… ireally like that you for example writes “waiting for parts to be delivired” thats good…. its good with the EST to…..
@Sariel
Much appreciated
Thanks
@Alexi-l
There is the currently building section right up there. But I’d rather keep it the way it is, I feel current stage doesn’t really give you the real insight into the building process, while it takes my time to think of what to name the thing I’m doing right now. I can post estimated completion times instead, would that be helpful?
After the photo-update of the bucket wheel excavator the “current stage” part of the “currently building” section seems to have disappeared 🙁
Would it be possible to reinstate it?
Or even better, add a more precise ECT eg tomahawk- 18/02/2010
Needless to say a great job once more with the Scania 🙂
@arnau
It’s going to be more complex than I thought, so I don’t think I can finish it this month, January is much more possible. I wanted to finish this year with the Dodge Tomahawk, which is much simpler so it can be completed before the end of December.
when do you think the Lamborghini will be finished?
@Sariel
ok
@legobuilder
Well why don’t you check the poll to your right?
@Lasse
I really want to focus on building these models rather than writing about it. It worked for Scania, didn’t it?
Can you please write about the progress on your currently building models….
why you don’t build a bugatti veyron or a pagani zonda r I love these cars:D
@Nico
Actually, I thought about it but I haven’t time to take a good look at such a machine yet.
Have you ever tried building a construction grader such as the CAT 140H. Should be quite a challenge with all the power in the back and multiple mechanisms at the blade and on the front axel. Probably only possible using lots of pneumatics?
@axel
There will be two gearboxes, don’t panic.
what happened with the cvt gearbox?
@gogolego
It’s not my previous work, it’s my current work.
could you take some pictures of your previous work on the lamborghini reventon which is my favourite car?
@Sariel
oh.. i must have readed it somewhere else…
or just imagined it, that would go fast =)
@william
I do not have such plans at the moment.
sorry for asking again but could you please build the ripsaw (tank)
@chili
Erm not, never. I’m only planning a motorized Dodge Tomahawk, but nothing pneumatic.
weren’t you making a LPE motorcycle? or was it in the queue?
i cant find it anymore… i just remember reading something about pneumatic bike here.
@icanhaslego
Update: I will now have to spend some time taking apart the Scania and the remains of the big excavator. The good news is that the Reventon is very likely to get an automated CVT gearbox (first tests look very promising), and that I have a remote-controlled 3-speed gearbox to show sometime soon.
how’s the reventon build going? eta?
thank you and i saw the video and its pretty cool
@Sariel
@not me nope
I’m rendering the video right now.
is the truck almost done ? i’ve been looking foreward to it andyou said sunday!
looking forward to the Scania 😀
@gogolego
hes only started building it – he working on the scania at the moment 🙂
where are the pictures of your Lamborghini Reventon?
Hi, I am from guatemala and I was researching in you tube about a lego gearbox,I found the 2 speed authomatic gearbox you made and found it interesting, then I followed the track till this web page; it is amazing all the work you have done! specially the trucks. Here at my contry it is very hard to improve yourself because there is very few lego models at sale and they are quite expensive. I´ve been working on a “main” proyect as you call it which is a Land Rover, and i have other proyects in process like an audi r8. It is very nice to find someone else who is interested in the functionality and “real looking” of its models! I´m glad that you have professionalized your way in this hobby, and that you share to all of us your amazing work! thank you.
OH! I know i’v also ben trying to upload photos and just if you want to se some of my photos I’m kaz32. AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! your Scania Dump Truck mite be done on Sunday :):):):)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@legokid
Yes I do. The only problem is that uploading photos to Brickshelf has been disabled for the last couple of days. I hope it gets fixed by Sunday.
Do you mean Sunday 22 November 2009?
@Manne
I just got the parts I needed, and if everything goes well I suppose it should be published on Sunday.
How is it going with the dumptruck.
@RjbsNXT
Update: the last technical difficulties in the truck seem to be solved, but it appears I’m going to need some extra parts to finish the cargo case. I have already ordered these parts and made some arrangments to have them delivered quickly, but if they’re not delivered before the weekend then the truck will have to wait until next week.
@Sariel
wow! look forward to seeing it :D, hope it continues to go smoothly
@RjbsNXT
It’s going so well that it’s very, very likely to be finished this weekend.
just a quick comment to ask how the dump truck was coming on 🙂
OK. I was just asking. 🙂
@Lasse
I thought about it, but it would slow down the building process and that’s something bad, especially for small models that take little time to build. Besides I often change things while building, so I would have to pay extra attention to whether I’m taking photos of something ultimately complete or not.
I would really love that you kept on posting “currently building” pictures of all models you are building.
@legokid
I could, but I think the truck can be completed in just two weeks, so I’d rather focus on finishing it and taking photos of a complete truck.
Coude you post photos of your curently building dump truck.
@Lasse
It’s going to stay there but it will be enclosed inside operator’s cabin.
one qiustion: the xl motor that drives the bucket wheel is it gonna be positioned another place later in the building process, or is it gonna stay were it is (dosent look very good right now)
@owen
I’m pretty sure it will be finished this month. The work is going much faster now that I got the new turntable in place.
=@RjbsNXT
I have to build some aesthetic stuff around the bucket wheel too. Like the operator’s cabin (with lights) and a couple of catwalks. I want to put some actual minifigs in there.
The piece that makes the front cordage is a 16-studs long link (the longest one available).
@william
I have already been suggested the Ripsaw, thank you. At the moment I have no plans for such model.
i would like to make a model suggestion, its the ripsaw.
here are some links
http://www.redferret.net/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/ripsaw1.jpg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_iup2jXQqI
Which piece is used on the cordage system on the front?
@owen
What else is left to do on the front jib?
Just the conveyor belt and top truss?
When do you think it will be finished?
@Sariel
funnily enough, that doesn’t suprise me 😉
@Sariel
You´re right. I´m almost finnished with the corr chassi today. Reurn-to-center to, but i´m working at at the back suspension. Then i going to build a rollcage an body of studded panels. It´s quite small, im using the wheels of the new lego quadbike. Im not really sure yet if it´s going to be remotecontrolled. Time will tell.
@Manne
Well, these pickups don’t look very different from a corr truck. I’ll have to think about it in future.
@Sariel
Would it not be better with like a pickup truck in that case?
like this one http://www.dodge.ca/en/img/features/2500_feat_perf_capable_major.jpg
ore this http://www.besportier.com/archives/mitsubishi-l200-savana-pickup.jpg
@icanhaslego
I think there are some 200 links in the belt, but I didn’t have to order them. You know I love tanks, so I had plenty of links already 🙂
the new pictures look excellent- i’m looking forward to seeing the convener belt in action. how many links did you have to order for it?
@Manne
Perhaps. I think such a truck could be successfully used in the Truck Trial, so this is actually quite a good idea, thank you. The only vehicles I’m planning to use in the Trial are Hummer and Rosomak, so it’s good to have a third one in mind.
@Sariel
yes, they are a quite similar to a monstertruck (which i´m looking forvard to) but not much. If you have time over maybe??
I have built a corr chassie today but it has not steering yet.
@Manne
Thanks, good to know. However, I still think that such a truck would be essentially quite similar to a monster truck I’m going to build sometime in the future.
@Sariel
Corr trucks are not realy a buggy. They are bulit on a toyota tundra or chvevrolet silverado. So they are not buggies.
@manne
The way I see it’s just another type of buggy, and I’ve built plenty of buggies already.
Can´t you build a corr truck?? That would be very cool.
@RjbsNXT
There sure are more photos coming this week, and I’ll try to show the turntable too.
Are we going to see more of the turntable or not until it’s published?
@icanhaslego
Not only Reventon is started, but the excavator is back whole & up again. However, I have to finish Scania before Reventon.
ah, excellent- work has started on the reventon. i’ve been looking forward to that one for a while…
The new turnable looks promising. I have used something very similar in the past and it works very, very well for heavy loads.
@sverre
I think it should be complete in two weeks, maybe sooner. I had little time to build recently.
How is the progress on the bucket wheel excavator going Sariel? Does it come to an end soon? Waiting in eager too see the end result 🙂
@Lasse
no – when i replied i thought you meant the turntable, not the base .. sorry
@RjbsNXT
you need glasses???
@RjbsNXT
It’s not round. It should be, but I’m running out of short liftarms so I used longer ones and hence the final shape.
@RjbsNXT
at closer inspecgion i think you’re right :/
@lasse
no , it’s definitely round to my eyes 😉
the turntable looks nice… but i think it looks a little wierd because that plate the rollers roll on is more oval than round…. it would if you msde it round instead…. it looks good….=)
That looks really good. I guess it´ll roll super smooth and be plenty stable for the superstructure. Looking forward to see more.
@RjbsNXT
agreed
love the turntable! 😀
pppllleeaasssee make pictures
coming more pics?
please
Is the buket loader turntable fined? and some new pics would be nice to have . great work! 🙂
@RjbsNXT
..even if they are of a chainsaw 😉
