My second front loader, and the first model of an existing front loader. Built in a relatively small scale, it has very little details, but maintains the flattened silhouette of the original machine. Because of the size limitations, there are only two motors, and the drive motor is connected to a distribution gearbox, that allows it to drive wheels or the internal compressor. Due to the compressor’s low efficiency, there is an additional manual pump, that can be detached and used. The model uses a custom-built bucket, partially because I had no unitary LEGO bucket of appropriate size at the time it was built, and partially because it was crucial to move the model’s center of gravity forwards, because of the non-stabilized rear suspension.
Despite somewhat severe look, I was satisfied with the model’s performance. The arm worked smoothly and had a very good movement range, and the drivetrain was able to provide a decent speed and even to climb minor obstacles.
