Brickset Offline LEGO Catalog Android app now available
A new free Android app developed with Brickset is available.
I’m happy to announce a brand new Android app: the Brickset Offline LEGO Catalog. The app’s goal is to provide information on LEGO sets of your choice as quickly and conveniently as possible. It was build as an alternative to going online and launching your web browser to check online catalogs, and therefore it works entirely offline using its own embedded database, which comes with over 15,300 LEGO sets and 4,000 images for starters. Features include:
- sorting by theme, year of release or one of many additional sorting options (by price, set number, size, price-per-piece and so on)
- search by number
- search by partial name
- search by barcode (using included barcode scanner)
- the barcode scanner can also be used to open QR codes with URL links in your web browser
- ability to mark sets as owned or wanted and to browse your entire owned/wanted collection
- list of all themes with a summary and with ability to hide selected themes from the main catalog’s list so it becomes less cluttered
The app comes free of charge, with no ads, and works on Android 4.4 and higher. It’s my 6th app, following five other free Android tools:
As usual, I don’t have plans to release tha app on any other system than Android.
