A simple creation I’ve built to be featured in the Mistrzowie Budowania show that I’m hosting for LEGO Poland. It combined a kinetic sculpture of a Santa’s sleigh pulled by four reindeer that moved up and down in a sequence, with a basic Monorail car. A 9V battery box was installed in the rear car and a 71427 motor was installed in the front car together with a system of crankshafts moving the reindeer. The entire build was fairly simple, the only real challenge was to keep the mechanical part as low as possible to make the entire vehicle stable when cornering.
The vehicle performed well enough, it was able to maintain stability when cornering and moving up and down the ramps, even despite its height. I did consider adding some LEGO 9V incandescent lights, but couldn’t figure out a good place to put them without exposing a lot of cables and without ruining the look of the sleigh.
