I myself have owned Siberian dwarf hamsters and have always loved their temperament. They are wonderful, loving little creatures and I am sorry to hear for your loss. I had over hamsters in a habitrail that was almost 1/4 of a room. When my big mama died the colony was never the same

btw, it’s not exceptional that he grew comfy with humans. Our first hamster used to jump into your hand whenever you put it into the terrarium. He was a real friendly guy, too!
